Legal Requests Policy
How Manage Repairs handles requests for account or customer data.
Last updated: 14 August 2026
General position
Manage Repairs does not sell shop or customer data and does not voluntarily disclose private account data unless permitted by the account owner or required by law.
Valid requests
Legal, law-enforcement or regulatory requests should be specific, lawful, written and sent to [email protected] with enough information for us to identify the account and assess the request.
Verification
Before responding, we may take reasonable steps to verify the requester, clarify the legal basis, narrow the scope and confirm whether the request relates to Manage Repairs data or data controlled by a shop.
Customer data requests
Where a request relates to a shop’s own customer records, we may direct the requester to the shop as controller unless the law requires Manage Repairs to respond directly.
Notice to affected users
Where legally allowed and practical, we may notify the affected account owner before disclosing data so they can respond or seek advice. We may delay or withhold notice if legally prohibited.
Emergency and security situations
We may preserve or disclose limited information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent harm, investigate abuse, protect the platform, comply with law or enforce our terms.
Narrow disclosure
If disclosure is legally required, we aim to disclose only the categories of information reasonably required by the valid request, subject to technical availability and legal obligations.
Data preservation
A preservation request does not guarantee disclosure. It may temporarily prevent deletion while a valid legal process is obtained or assessed.
